Micromagnetic Simulations
Comparison between the images of a scanning magnetic force microscope and the calculated magnetic polarization (vertical component in a grey scale). The initial structure at zero applied field has two vortices and an anti-vortex. With increasing applied magnetic field one of the vortices anihilates with an anti-vortex.
