Biomedical and Nano-Bio Applications

Introduction

Research in this area started at the end of 2005. Work is progressing along three projects. 1-Hybrid sensors for fT field detection (ACMEMS+magnetic flux guides+high sensitivity MR sensors, within the BIOMAGSENSE FP6 project). 2-Development of an integrated solid state switch driven by a molecular motor (MR or Hall effect nanosensor within a microfluidic channel, detecting the vertical position of a magnetric nanobead at the end of a stretched um long DNA chain, within the BioMolSwitch FP6 project). 3-Developmenbt of a MR sensor based set up (microelectrodes + sensing sites) to measure synaptic currents (test vs patch clamp results).
