Integrated biochip platform
Within the POSI/ESE Biochip platform project, INESC MN (chip and fluidics manufacturer) collaborated with INESC ID ( electronics board manufacturer) in order to fabricate a fully portable, PDA controlled, 256 probe site biosensor for on-site applications. Fig.6 shows schematically the card layout, and the picture of the mounted chip on the platform. The platform was also designed to control the chip temperature, as required for the future SNIP detection experiments.
